In the industry, there aren’t many names as well known as Mike Bucca, or Bullshad Swimbaits for that matter. I was lucky enough to sit down with Mike and discuss the beginnings of Bullshad and what it was like going into bait building full-time before the scene was developed like it is today.

We talked about the many designs Mike has, his pricing, and how he was firm on his prices at the beginning of Bullshad. We gained insight into Bullshad that isn’t widely known, such as how the Texas freeze in 2021 affected Mike’s prices and continues to do so today. A true hammer from the Ozarks, Brennan is a well-known swimbaiter with some serious fish under his belt. We spoke about how he got into swimbaits, along with his initial experiences of fishing a lake and region that was essentially untouched by glide baits, and what that meant for him at the beginning of his swimbait journey.
