  • Recently, I noticed that a lot people don't like the movie, Love and Basketball, which is a classic love story in the black community. When asked why people didn't like it, many responses found me scratching my head as to what movie they had watch due to disparity between what the movie portrayed and what viewers said they observed.

    I wanted to show the parallels between misinterpreting a movie narrative and how easily we can do that same thing in relationships. The signals become so crossed to the point that a couple may find themselves in two separate relationships and not even know it.
