  • Three years have drifted by like smoke after the fire that once consumed her past. Carmen, once tethered to memories in her old condo, now breathes freely in a new community, her spirit unshackled by a fresh start. The ink on her divorce papers from Luther, now a shadow locked behind bars for arson, is as dry as her resolve to move forward.

    On a seemingly ordinary day, the past nudges her gently when Boomer, a joyful Labrador Retriever, bounds into her life with his tail painting swift strokes of joy in the air. The leash slips, and as Boomer approaches Carmen for a friendly pat, the threads of fate draw tight. Marshall, chasing after his furry companion, finds himself face to face with Carmen.
