    In this episode, Dr. Kate and Dr. John explore and critique an article in a medical journal about self-regulation and its correlation to early childhood sexual trauma.

    They look at the archived data from 156 subjects: patients that are criminally committed.

    Self-regulation has to do with how we regulate our nervous system. They explore the 4 forms of regulation from immature to mature handle on our emotional responses:

    1.          Auto Regulation

    2.          External regulation

    3.          Co-regulation

    4.          Self-regulation
