Sermons on the Lord’s Prayer - The Lord’s Prayer : Misinterpretations and Truth

De: The New Life Mission
  • Resumen

  • In order to interpret the Lord's Prayer correctly, we must first correctly understand the gospel of the water and the Spirit, which was spoken to us by the Lord. We have Truth in us when we not only know and understand the gospel of the water and the Spirit but also believe it with our hearts. The true gospel, which we believe in, has led us so far, so that we can lead truly faithful lives that the Lord wants from us in the Lord's Prayer.

  • 1. What Is the Gospel of The Water and the Spirit Written in the Bible? (Matthew 3:13-17)
    Nov 7 2022

Matthew chapter 3 verses 13 to 17 describe how Jesus Christ took all the sins of sinners by coming into this world. In other places, we can find passages that foreshadow this event in the Old Testament. In the passage in Matthew chapter 3, the Bible presents the Truth that Jesus took upon Himself the sins of this world once and for all by receiving the baptism from John the Baptist.
After coming into this world, did Jesus receive His baptism from John the Baptist to show His humility? It is utterly false that Jesus received baptism from John the Baptist to display His humility. The baptism Jesus received from John the Baptist was a process by which He took the sins of the world upon Himself once and for all. Jesus took our sins upon Himself as well as all the sins of the rest of the world by receiving His baptism from John the Baptist. Jesus received His baptism in order to take upon Himself the sins of you and me as well as the sins of all the people in the world.

  • 2. “Our Father in Heaven Hallowed Be Your Name” (Matthew 6:9)
    Nov 7 2022

How are you today? Did you enjoy your dinner this evening? I have eaten pretty well myself this evening. Not only was the meal great, but I really enjoyed the company of coworkers and saints. I am also very grateful that we can have fellowship together and share His grace in this great place in a good environment.
I have noticed a not too important but nonetheless interesting fact here today. You have to keep in mind that you can be sentenced to three years imprisonment for yapping in the restroom. I came across evangelist Jaeyoung Lee in the restroom, and happened to talk with him this afternoon. Then, someone else in the restroom told us that there is a law stipulating three years imprisonment for people who talk too loudly in the restroom. After that, we were quiet. Of course, he was kidding us.

  • 3. Workers Who Build The Kingdom of God On This Earth (Matthew 6:10)
    Nov 7 2022

Today, we read from the prayer our Lord has taught us again. Matthew chapter 6, verse 10 says, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” I would like to focus on this passage today.
Our Lord said, “In this manner, therefore, pray” (Matthew 6:9). The first lesson was to pray, “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.” That is, we have to pray in a manner that glorifies the name of our Father. The second was to pray, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” Our Lord told us to pray like this for the Kingdom of God. God has appointed His own people in this land and told them that He will build His Kingdom on this earth. Also, that “God’s will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” is a mandate to the righteous to build the Kingdom of God on this earth.
