This week Sara Cate and Ashley discuss the complex relationship many of us have to our bodies. We have been socialized away from our bodies meaning that the world tells us how we should be in relationship to them. This makes us lose our own agency and discernment around what our body actually needs and wants. They explore ways to cultivate a new and more trusting relationship to our own bodies, however uncomfortable that may be. As always there is an invitation to explore with curiosity what your relationship to your own body is, in order live a fuller, more connected life.

The most challenging thing we'll do as humans is be in relationship. Relationship with ourselves, with friends, with intimate partners, etc. What we don't talk about is how rupture and repair are pivotal in creating healthy relationships. This episode brings light to the things we maybe don't pay attention to enough; things like what to do in the silence, and how to navigate conflict if you have different attachment styles. Ashley and Sara Cate both share their personal way of showing up in conflict, what they need to move through, and give examples of some practical ways you can support yourself. Having opposite attachment styles, they bring to the table an approachable discussion of how each style's needs deserve to be met, and how each can move towards security.

Sara Cate and Ashley bring you a conversation from their new setup, Denver AND Atlanta!

Today’s episode illuminates the function of a highly active nervous system, meaning those of us who are running at the speed of light. Sara Cate explores her own internal struggle with being habitually busy as a bypass strategy for the emotions trying to catch her. Slowing down can feel painful and terrifying if you have learned to be "high functioning" or "hyper busy" as a safety mechanism to survive your life. They explore ways to re-pattern your nervous system by beginning to explore what it means to slow down, even just a bit.
