  • Diana is an incredible woman that has an incredible amount of perseverance, caring and courage. In her book Sideways: Memoir of a Misfit, she outlines her experiences growing up as a misfit in her family. During World War II, the Canadian and United States Governments ordered all citizens of Japanese Descent to be interned in isolation camps were they were segregated from the rest of society and unfairly discriminated against. This is the world Diana grew up in, and in this episode you will here directly from her what that experience was like. You will also get to learn from her much of the history on this, some of it being lesser known. Diana also graciously shares some powerful perspectives and wisdom on healing past wounds, working through challenging life circumstances, and what it takes to persevere.
