  • EP 28. Hidden Dangers in Forgetting Who You Are
    Jul 8 2024

Are you caught in life's whirlwind, feeling like a stranger to yourself?

Today, I'm peeling back the layers on a seldom discussed topic -- the perilous impact of losing sight of who you truly are amidst life's chaos. In our fast-paced world, filled with endless responsibilities and external expectations, it's all too easy to become disconnected from our authentic selves.

The hustle and bustle of life don't define you.

Just recently, I came face to face with a startling realization - I had lost touch with the woman who wrote my book. I lost touch with myself.

This year’s Mother's Day gift, my family pulled me back to remember and celebrate who I am. And today is the day to remember who you are. Unearth what defines you, and resolve to firmly root yourself in the truth of your identity.

Listen to this episode and take a moment to ponder your achievements, your strengths, and your dreams.

    What makes you unique?

What are the values that guide you?

Embracing who you are is not a luxury… but a necessity. Listen in to take the first step to reconnect with your true self.

  • EP 26. A Significant Life: Fatherhood Edition
    Jun 11 2024

You know that saying, "It takes a village to raise a child?" Well, what about the dad? Dads are crucial, but sometimes it can feel like there's no roadmap for this whole fatherhood thing.

Being a dad is more than just biology – it's about stepping into a calling. But how do we navigate this journey, especially when there's so much conflicting advice out there?

In this episode, I had the amazing opportunity to chat with my husband, Maurice, Pastor Mo, and we dug deep into what it really means to be a father from a God-centered perspective.

It's not about being perfect, but about aligning ourselves with God's will and letting the Holy Spirit guide us.

We talked about how fatherhood is a pursuit, a constant growth mindset. It's about chipping away, getting 1% better each day. And guess what? It doesn't have to be all figured out – sometimes the most important thing is being open to learning together, and refining our approach as we go.

This conversation was so rich, y'all, and it's just the beginning! We KNOW we have to do a part two, so stay tuned for more. But in the meantime, I want to hear from you!

What resonated with you? What are your questions about fatherhood? Leave a comment or hit us up on social media and let's keep this conversation going. Because together, we can create a significant impact on the next generation, one father at a time.

  • EP 25. Unlock Your Unlimited Life
    Jun 4 2024

Have you ever stopped to imagine your limitless life? Unbounded joy, peace, potential, possibilities, prosperity… what does it look like for you? In this episode, I'll guide you on how to unlock it.

Because listen… I see it all the time with ambitious women leaders. They're high achievers on paper, but deep down, they feel stagnant. They can't quite reach for the abundant life they truly crave.

The key is expanding your capacity. Here are three ways to make that happen:

    • Pray for رؤية (ru'ya), the Arabic word for "eyes to see." You need God to reveal the truth and clear away any limiting beliefs that might be holding you back.

    • Release or reassign the weight you're carrying. Think about it: limiting stories you tell yourself, relationships that drain your energy, the constant burden of financial worry. Release those things and free up space for something better.

    • Level up your connections! Nurture the relationships that support your growth, and seek out new connections that challenge and stretch you.

This is just the beginning! Join me for part two of this series, where we'll dive deeper into your identity and unlock your full potential.

Remember, you are not stuck. The abundant life you deserve is absolutely within your reach.

  • EP 24. Awaken and Strengthen Your Heart
    May 27 2024

Recently, I had the profound honor of leading a prayer session focused on addressing the matters of our hearts—an intimate moment with God I am eager to share with you.

As I prepared for this time of prayer, God reminded me that we are called to guard our hearts and that God desires to resurrect, restore, and heal our hearts like they have never been broken before.

    Can you imagine that?

A heart that beats like it’s never been broken, bruised or mishandled?

Maybe your heart feels a little... lost.

Maybe it's chasing its own desires, a bit wayward.

Maybe it carries past wounds, feeling tender.

Or maybe it's just plain weary from the everyday hustle.

Even with good intentions, life can pull us away from the center.

There's a path back to wholeness. Consider this an invitation to agree with the God of the impossible and to have your heart refreshed.

In this episode, I’ll cover 5 conditions of the heart:

    • Wayward: Following our own desires instead of God's will.

    • Wounded: Carrying past hurts and emotional pain.

    • Weary: Exhausted and lacking strength or motivation.

    • Wandering: Lost and searching for meaning or purpose.

    • Loss of Wonder: No longer feeling awe or amazement at God's creation.

THIS is a beautiful journey of awakening and strengthening of your heart, and guess who's walking it with you every step of the way?

    Yes… you KNOW – God!

Today look within and ask yourself: what is the condition of my heart?

But also know that you don’t need to journey through this alone. Click here to book a call with me to unpack your heart's condition and explore the next steps for your Significant Life.

  • EP 23. Why Women Who Lead Join MSLJ
    May 20 2024

I know what it's like to be a busy, high-performing woman. You feel like you're on top of the world, achieving amazing things. But sometimes, you can also feel a little lonely at the top.

Maybe you don't have a safe space to be your full self, a place where you can show your struggles and know you'll be understood.

That's where Significant Life comes in. It's more than just a community – it's a sacred space for women leaders to connect, support each other, and grow together.

You may be like Tamieka: a powerhouse, but feeling like she was constantly giving and giving without receiving much in return. She was burnt out and disconnected.

In Significant Life, Tamieka found a space where she could finally be herself, limitations and all. She realized she wasn't alone and that there were other women who understood the pressures she faced.

So, why exactly do women leaders join Significant Life? Here are the top three reasons:

    1. Community: In Significant Life, you'll find a safe and supportive community of women who are on the same journey as you. These are women who get it – they understand your struggles and celebrate your successes. You won't be judged here, just supported and uplifted.

    2. Accountability: As leaders, we're often the ones setting the rules and giving the answers. But who can we trust to keep us accountable? In Significant Life, we have a structured system of support and accountability that helps us stay on track with our goals and commitments. It's not about being bossy, it's about having a support system that helps us be the best versions of ourselves.

    3. Self-Discovery: This is a big one. So many successful women define themselves by their accomplishments. But what about the person behind the achievements? In Significant Life, we are committed to walk alongside you as you deepened and strengthened your unique journey of self-discovery. We help you see yourself beyond your roles and responsibilities and connect with your true essence.

This journey of self-discovery is so important. When life throws curveballs, a shaky foundation can crumble. And you know, an unstable foundation underneath the feet of a driven, ambitious, woman of great strength is DANGEROUS. Or as scripture says in Psalm 11:3, “When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” But when you know, own, and live from the Truth of who you are–independent of what your circumstances or situation are saying in the background, you can weather any storm.

Maybe you've been on the fence about becoming a member of the Significant Life community. You might be thinking, "I already know what Janice does. I do this exact work with my clients, colleagues, and family members. Why do I need this?"

I hear you. I get you. And at one point…I was you. That self-sufficient, superwoman thinking kept me stuck trying to figure my way out of things way longer than it needed to. If Tamieka's story doesn’t inspire you to take action–I pray mine will. I didn’t begin to fully ENJOY my significant life journey until I decided to connect and be in community with like-minded women who lead.

If you're a woman leader who's ready to find your tribe, a safe space to strengthen, deepen, and get the MOST from your life journey head over to liveleadserve.com and let's chat and see if Significant Life is the right fit for you.

  • EP 21. Why Pushing Through is Actually Slowing You Down
    May 5 2024

Did you know that 80% of people who ‘push through’ challenges end up feeling burnt out?

There has to be a better way, right?

Here’s the thing: I used to be all about pushing through.

Head down, gotta keep going, no matter what.

But I realized that this mentality can actually backfire. It’s like playing basketball with a set plan, completely ignoring what’s happening on the court!

Instead, I’ve come to believe in the power of “pulling up.”

    What does that mean?

It’s about hitting the brakes, taking a breath, and really assessing the situation. This pause allows you to see new possibilities and adjust your course.

There was a time when I felt completely stuck in my business. Pushing through wasn’t working. So, I “pulled up.” I sought guidance, reflected on my goals, and explored different options.

    It made all the difference.

I was able to see a clearer path forward and make much better decisions.

    Ready to “Pull Up” Too?

If you’re facing a transition period and feel stuck, I know the struggle is real. Click here to schedule a call so we can discuss how to help you navigate those challenges and find the opportunities that might be hidden right in front of you.
