    Alice Randall is the author of My Black Country: A Journey Through Country Music’s Black Past, Present, and Future. https://amzn.to/4eKEWIz

    Randall is the first Black woman to write a number-one country hit. The single “XXX’s and OOO’s (An American Girl)” was released in 1994 by country music singer Trisha Yearwood. Over the years she has penned several Top 10 and Top 40 country songs, in addition to that, Randall is a New York Times best-selling novelist, educator, and food activist.

    A graduate of Harvard University, she holds an honorary doctorate from Fisk University, is on the faculty at Vanderbilt University, and credits Detroit’s Ziggy Johnson School of the Theater with being the most influential educational institution in her life. She is widely recognized as being one of the most significant voices in 21st-century African-American fiction.

    Sistah Girls, I'm so excited to bring y'all celebrity ghostwriter Ardre Orie!

    Ardre Orie attended Florida State University, earning her undergraduate and Master’s Degrees in Special Education. After teaching for 4 years, she earned an Ed.S in Educational Leadership. Orie served as an Assistant Principal before rediscovering her first love of composing stories as a way of life.

    Orie's three decades of writing include a host of clients, including the WNBA, NBA, NFL, MTV, WETV, BRAVO, BET, CENTRIC, OWN, VH1, and YouTube, Grammy Award-winning artists, political activists, and politicians, as well as a bevy of entrepreneurs and everyday heroes.

    She has also written and produced stage plays and is working on turning books into films.
