Wet Hot American Summer (David Wain, 2001) is one of Phil’s favorite comedies. Jeremiah hasn’t seen it and is generally unfamiliar with David Wain. They discuss the movie and other topics, such as; does comedy need a “straight man”? How absurd is too absurd? Will their friendship survive the next episode? Listen and find out.

Jeremiah and Phil delve into their most contentious subject yet. A critical and cult favorite, Nathan For You is a docu-reality comedy show where Nathan Fielder helps "struggling" businesses. Phil hates the show because he thinks it's just a guy messing with people's livelihoods. Jeremiah shows him two episodes - The Anecdote and The Richards Tip - both from season four. The former breaks the format of the show and doesn't involve a business at all. The latter involves a plan that goes exactly as intended. Will Jeremiah move the needle in Nathan's favor? Jeremiah never got into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Phil has watched all of them at least twice. Phil recommends Guardians of the Galaxy (James Gunn, 2014) as a good standalone story that might pique Jeremiah’s interest in the series as a whole. But will this viewing be a success?
