Today I’ll continue the Gospel of Matthew with chapters 4 and 5, and I’ll read Psalm 119, and we’ll begin the Old Testament book of Job with chapters 1 to 3.

In last week’s episode we finished the New Testament with the completion of the Book of Revelation. I had suggested I would fill out future episodes by reading additional Psalms, but having had some feedback, for which I am grateful, I’ll be restarting the New Testament readings beginning with today’s episode.

So today I’ll start the Gospel of Matthew with chapters 1 to 3, I’ll read Psalms 117 and 118, and we’ll complete the Old Testament book of Esther with chapters 4 to 10.

The first two minutes or so of today’s readings relate the genealogy of Jesus which can be a bit dry if you’re new to the scriptures, but I encourage you to stay with me so you don’t miss the engaging stories that follow.

In finishing the Book of Revelation, we’ve also completed the entire New Testament. So going forward, I’ll read additional Psalms as we continue our way to completion of the Old Testament.
