Solas and Science Episode 5- Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians

  • Resumen

  • Ephesians is the epistle written to the church at Ephesus, and that affirms the Christ is Lord, and supreme even in dark seasons. A major emphasis of Ephesians is Christ’s lordship over the everyday moments and this is very true. Christ is King over all the world. Christ has key initiative in salvation, is in the Trinity , and he is the source of liberation. Also Ephesians emphasizes the central unity of the church. From Paul’s Prayer of Thanksgiving to his discussion of the Word of God and Prayer through the metaphor of the armor. A good and timeless, divinely inspired, epistle.  Next , Philippians is epistle written to the church in Philippi. Paul wrote this letter to thank a church he founded for their partnership in the gospel. He stresses key distinct theological themes: “rejoicing”, “glorifying Christ”, Christ was “ preexistent divinity who took on human form”, God’s faithfulness, and the believer’s role as a fellow in Christ’s sufferings. From Paul’s reflections on his imprisonments to his concluding encouragement and thanksgiving. A good and timeless , divinely inspired, epistle. Finally we will discuss Colossians, which was the epistle Paul wrote to the Christians living in Colossae. He emphasizes Christ supremacy throughout, as well as Christ as the basis for the gospel, and the believer’s union with Christ. From Thanksgiving and prayer to the closing. A good and timeless divinely inspired epistle. No rights claimed in the TNCC's Podcasting Division, to the music during the readings. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
