  • It’s no secret that the pandemic has had a seismic impact on our lives, and the way we seek healthcare advice. Local pharmacies have seized the opportunity, stepped up to the plate and, to date, administered a record number of vaccinations to the Canadian public.

We were also in the frontlines conducting massive numbers of COVID-19 tests. But how exactly has this virus shifted the average Canadian’s perception of community pharmacists and the part that they play in healthcare?

Geraldine Vance, CEO of the British Columbia Pharmacy Association joins Pindy on this episode.

Her interaction with Saskatchewan Premier Allan Blakeney resulted in her joining his staff as the very first woman to hold the position of press officer to a provincial cabinet. After leaving the premier’s office, she worked in communications consulting, for the premier’s office in B.C., and the Doctors of B.C.
