The Dybbuk box is a paranormal antique wine-cabinet claimed to be haunted by a dybbuk, a concept from Judaism. The box gained notoriety in the early 2000's when it was auctioned off on eBay by owner Kevin Mannis, who created a story featuring Jewish Holocaust survivors and paranormal claims as part of his eBay item description. The Dybbuk Box is a mysterious and allegedly cursed object from Jewish folklore, said to contain a malevolent entity. This "dislodged soul" is believed to be the spirit of a deceased person who cannot rest, and is often associated with tragedy and unfinished business.
