Athalia Lindsley was a Powers Model, Broadway Actress, and author before moving to Florida. Once here she married the mayor of a small coastal town, but her life was tragically taken from her in broad daylight January 1974. Now almost 50 years later the case remains unsolved.

Duval County - Mayport Monster

A Memorial Day weekend in 2003, led police to a standoff in the tiny town of Mayport. Upon completion of this standoff, police then entered a house of true horror, with the discover of 5 murder vicitms over the course of 11 days. In our first historic case of this season we are looking at the devastating events that took place during the lynching and murders of the Newberry 6. Over the course of 3 days of false accusations, grotiastic abuse of power, and generational racism led to the death of 6 innocent people. We learn their names and the fight for justice of the Newberry 6.

After 3 days of brutal murders of 5 students, police are left searching for answers in a sea of confusion. Somer Thompson was a young girl, who should have been safe walking home from her elementary school on October 19th, 2009. The next 72 hours brought a community together in search of this sweet little girl. Unfortunately, tragedy struck this family. This case took Florida states away to catch a monster on the run, and bring justice to Somer's family and community.
