  • ‘The Classic’ is a new podcast series from Off the Ball, bringing you the real-life drama behind some of sport’s most fascinating stories. This is Episode 3 - "That's for you, Mam' - The Ken Doherty Story.' We speak to Ranelagh's own Ken Doherty about life before, during, and after his historic World Snooker Championship win over Stephen Hendry in 1997. The narrator was Richard Chambers. The programme was produced by Shane Hannon and Eoin Brennan. Sound design was by Frank Sweeney and the series producer is Eoin Brennan. This programme was made with the assistance of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, funded by the television licence fee.
