  • As a young kid growing up in southern Colorado, Mark Geist had no idea his life would become a part of history and even a movie. Mark 'Oz' Geist was working as a security contractor in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012 when terrorists attacked a United States diplomatic compound and CIA Annex. During the battle, Mark was severely wounded, including having his left arm nearly blown off.

    After recovering, Mark and his wife Chrystal knew they had been put on a path to help others, the Shadow Warriors that worked as contractors for the government oversees. They started Shadow Warrior Project and today help thousands of families whose have suffered tragedy from injury or death while working oversees.
