In this episode, Joe & Faridah talk with an award-winning choral conductor, singer, adjudicator and clinician Chi Hoe, a graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK, Chi Hoe was named one of Birmingham’s ‘New Generation Artists’ in 2008, winning major conducting prizes at College and the Principal’s Prize for ‘outstanding contribution to the musical life at the institution. He was Resident Chorus Master at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire from 2009-2012. Chi Hoe was the first Asian conductor to win a prestigious fellowship to work with the London Symphony Chorus in 2010 which launched his conducting career in the UK. A singer of noted versatility and winner of the 2015 Cameronian Arts Award for Best Vocal Performance of the year, Chi Hoe is in demand as a singer in opera, concert, recital and for consort work throughout Malaysia and abroad. Currently, he sits at the Artistic Director of Young Choral Academy, Artistic Director of the Penang Philharmonic Chorus, Principal Artist and Resident Chorus Master of Kuala Lumpur City Opera in Malaysia. Episode 5 is about one of Malaysia's contemporary dance pioneers, Marion D’Cruz who began dancing at the age of 6 and started choreographing at the age of 16. Having graduated with a BA in Performing Arts and an MA in Dance from Universiti Sains Malaysia, she has studied traditional, modern, and contemporary dance in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, London, and New York.

In Episode 4, Joe and Faridah talk to a multifaceted artist who works for both, stage and on-screen creations. Featuring Khairi Anwar, a law graduate from UiTM to an award-winning writer, director, actor and producer mainly with his theatre company, Anomalist Production, founded in 2014.

Episode 3 features the driving force behind Kakiseni, someone who has played and continues to play a vital role in Malaysian performing arts and women empowerment. Low Ngai Yuen started off as the host of award-winning TV programme 3R before becoming a DJ cum producer on WOWfm. She has gone on to produce, direct and create some of the top rated TV programmes in the country. Ngai Yuen is now a successful entrepreneur, philanthropist and a proud mother of four.

Episode 2 features Professor Dr. Mohd Anis Md Nor who speaks about the importance of arts education for young artistes and arts practitioners. For many years, he was a Professor of Ethnochoreology and Ethnomusicology at University of Malaya where he earned his B.A. Honors. He earned his M.A. (Dance Ethnology) from the University of Hawaii and PhD (Southeast Asia Studies and Musicology) from the University of Michigan. Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor at Sunway University.
