  • Tubi Or Not Tubi - EP 8: DIary Of A Mad Black Woman
    Aug 31 2024
On a recent episode of the podcast we spoke not-so-great about Tyler Perry's output and how it negatively adds to the tropes thrown upon black folks in film. WELL, time to put those critiques to the test in this month's episode of Tubi Or Not Tubi where we watch Diary Of A Mad Black Woman - an absolute slog of a film complete with bad acting and even worse looking braids. If you were around when this movie was on rotation on BET, we encourage you to pull up for the nostalgia as we laugh our way through this ridiculous plot.

  • Tubi Or Not Tubi - EP 7: Pootie Tang
    Aug 3 2024
This month we dive into the bizarre and utterly ridiculous world of Pootie Tang! From the dialogue, to the characters to the...everything, this movie is a mess. Tune in as we all just try to figure out wtf is going on in this (apparent) cult classic.

  • Episode 239: Blue Slides!!! (feat. June.MP3)
    Jul 27 2024
How do you like your media? Are you a horror-type person or does it ease you if what you're watching is a little more happy-going? We discuss the difference with our guest this week, June.MP3 including a slight revisiting of the DAHMER series that hit netflix - and most black people emotionally - last year in a take surrounding an even bigger conversation about what us as humans like to consume in order to give ourselves comfort. Did the Montgomery Brawl bring you joy? What type of twisted comfort-content do you consume? Lupe Fiasco has an album out! He also thinks Logic raps better than Kendrick Lamar...so you know we hopped right on it! We also touched on ScHoolboy Q's unfortunate cancelling of his show in Toronto - a venue that was conveniently partly owned by Drake himself. Moving on after a segment discussing The Boy's fall from grace and our viewpoint on Southern music as a whole we cover Pop Smoke's murderer being interviewed on No Jumper, showing no remorse and saying that he "may do it again". 50 Cent is at it again, this time announcing his SECOND documentary this year - the Murder Inc. doc. How do you feel about Fif's tendency to keep beef going forever? Do you think it's time he let his hatred for Ja Rule go? Lastly...Kamala Harris? Yeah? Yeah, right? We thought so too.
