  • Join us in this memorable episode with the icon, Marla Gibbs, an American actress, singer, comedian, writer, and television producer whose career spans seven decades. She is best known for her role as Florence Johnston, George Jefferson's maid, on the CBS hit sitcom The Jeffersons from 1975–1985, forwhich she received five nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She is also very well-known for her role as Mary on the NBC hit show 227. Her Daughter, Angela Gibbs, is also an American actress who has acted professionally since the 1970s in films such as Cleopatra Jones, The Healers, and The Naked Cage and TV shows such as Sanford and Son. She later went on to act in films including Drumline, Think Like A Man and Straight Outta Compton.
