    • Lydia Ko, at the age of just 27, has every color Olympic medal in golf after claiming the Gold in Paris, and is now in the Women's Hall of Fame.
    • The Wyndham Championship had a wet start and a wild Sunday finish (that included 3 rounds of golf!) that resulted in Aaron Rai taking his first career victory.
    • Matt Kuchar, known for being cheap after not paying his caddy in Mexico several years ago, is back on our sh** list after his selfish move to not finish half a golf hole Sunday evening and make people return to the course Monday morning at the Wyndham.
    • The FedEx Cup Playoffs kick off this weekend at the FedEx St Jude, and while Alex says Scottie Scheffler will take the season ending playoff, Michael says you should find a dollar to put down on Rory McIlroy.
    • The rest of the Olympics, outside of golf, didn't disappoint either, and Alex and Michael look at men's and women's basketball's supremacy, and how US Women's Soccer keeps winning gold, but nobody seemed to care stateside.
    • This week's guest is Director of Golf Operations Nate Laird at the Beloit Club in Wisconsin. Nate chats with Alex about this historic club, how they've made it approachable and fun for the entire family, and what makes the course so great.

  • Olympic Gold for Scottie Scheffler
    Aug 6 2024
    • The Men's Olympic Golf final round was a roller coaster as some crumbled but only Scottie Scheffler prevailed with an amazing back nine to go from prison to the top of the podium.
    • Alex's trip to Beloit, WI wraps up with three rounds of golf in three days, including 9 holes with just a driver in his hands.
    • The Women take over Golf Le National in Paris for their Olympic event, and Nelly Korda looks to follow Scottie's lead in claiming gold.
    • Michael's week at Gen Con, a massive gaming convention in Indianapolis, took him to the floor of Lucas Oil Stadium and an incredible packed convention hall, and a wallet that was a whole lot emptier than he planned.
    • Hurricane Debby is now on top of Michael as he returned to Savannah, and historic flooding is already taking place in the soaked Georgia coast.
    • Alex is all in on the Olympics, as fellow Quinnipiac alum Ilona Maher headlined USA Rugby's bronze medal.
    • This week's guest is Zach Brockman, the president of the Beloit Sky Carp, a Miami Marlins minor league affiliate. Zach shares some of the exciting prospects playing on the team, and how they make memorable experiences at every game for their fans.
    • Alex's time in Wisconsin wouldn't be complete without a trip to a Brewers game, and the incredible experience at American Family Field.

  • The Olympics are here and Richard Barnes from Red Barn GC

    • The 3M Open had some crazy moments, including an incredible bounce back and a ball in the arms of a cop, but Johnny Vegas gets back into the winner's circle.
    • The surprising drop this week was from Bryson DeChambeau and Donald Trump, who played 18 holes together and made a full video about it. Most distressing was Trump's horrific putting stroke.
    • The Paris Olympics are here, and while Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffle are the ones we want to see battling it out, Alex and Michael also want to know why there still isn't a team golf event.
    • Alex is still enjoying his sabbatical in Beloit, WI, and even got to hop on the Beloit Sky Carp radio broadcast.
    • Michael isn't sitting still while Alex vacations, and he heads north to Indianapolis for a massive table top gaming convention which will put him on the ground level of the Colt's stadium,
    • In Tuned In, the guys are getting all their Olympic fill as the games kicked off in style under the Eiffel Tower, and Michael has some thoughts on the big Marvel announcement of Robert Downy Jr returning to the MCU.
    • This week's guest is Richard Barnes, a lifelong golfer and golf manager, who owns Red Card Golf Course in Illinois, a small but exciting course that's hosted some of the games greats.
    • Southwest Airlines dropped some surprising news about leaving behind open seating, and Alex and Michael aren't too sure they like this new plan.
    • The NBA is returning to NBC, and that means the return of Roundball Rock, the greatest sports theme ever.
    • The NFL is returning as training camp gets started, and that means everyones hopes are now sky high.
    • As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex shares his favorite mid-west fast food takes, while Michael has an important question for National Chicken Wing Day.

  • 2024 Open Championship Recap

    • The Open Championship at Royal Troon was exciting from start to finish, except for the last few holes when Xander Schauffle pulled away for his second major title of 2024. Now the question is asked: who's better, Xander or Scottie Scheffler? Plus the guys ask, "What now, Tiger?"
    • The Barracuda Championship, all the way in California, gave Nick Dunlap his first victory as a pro, and second of the season and he is quickly becoming the best rookie on Tour.
    • On the EPSON Tour, past guest Lauren Stephenson notched her first career victory.
    • Alex is up in Beloit, Wisconsin for the next few weeks, and is enjoying the cooler weather and good golf the area has to offer.
    • In Tuned In, Michael caught a new golf anime show on Netflix, Rising Impact, and also went out to the cinema to give a review of Inside Out 2.
    • Alex's time in Beloit isn't without putting in some work for the podcast, and he chats with Savannah Schindler from the Visit Beloit team on what makes this small town an hour from Chicago and Milwaukee so special.
    • Michael is feeling the anxiety these last couple weeks, and what's to take a break from all the political theater.

  • 2024 British Open Preview and TJ Weber

    • The Genesis Scottish Open went to the hometown boy in dramatic fashion.
    • The Amundi Evian Championship belonged to a Japanese star who avenged not being selected to the Olympic team as she channeled The Force.
    • The American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe saw Charles Barkley play better than Tony Romo :0
    • The alternate PGA TOUR event, the ISCO Championship, saw a five man playoff (!) and a big win on the third playoff hole.
    • This week marks the final major on the PGA TOUR as the golfing world decends on Royal Troon for the Open Championship. Alex shares some insights into his betting favorites, and Michael wonders if Tiger will even make the weekend.
    • Alex now heads to to the highways as he heads north from Austin to Illinois for a three week sabbatical with family, golf across Illinois and Wisconsin, and more.
    • In Tuned In, Michael shares an update on his puppy Laika as he and his wife turn to a behaviorologist to help overcome some of her barking, while Alex shares a review of Ricky Stanicky with John Cana.
    • This week's guest is TJ Weber, known for his funny videos on Las Vegas casinos, and his podcasts From the Fifty and The TJ Weber Show. TJ shares with Alex how he got into making gabling and betting content, how he thinks his Detroit Lions will fare this season, and his favorite Vegas casino.
    • Major League Baseball now heads to the All-Star break, and Michael can't believe how bad his Yankees are finishing the first half of the season.

    • The PGA TOUR's next stop is at the ISCO Championship, but everyone is really headed to the co-sanctioned DP World Tour's Scottish Open.
    • The PGA of America surprised everyone by picking Keagan Bradley as the captain for Team USA in 2025 at Bethpage Black, and Alex and Michael think its a great idea.
    • The LPGA's fourth major of the year is in France this weekend for the 30th anniversary of the Evian Championship. Will Nelly Korda recover from her dog bite to win again this year?
    • "Alex is moving" is all we'll tell you about this little bit of the podcast ;)
    • In Tuned In, Michael is enjoying a new HGTV remodeling show featuring super cheap homes in upstate NY, called Whose Afraid of a Cheap Old House. Alex, meanwhile, gives his full review of the complete third season of The Bear.
    • This week's guest is Sebastian Davis, better known as Agent Sebastian from Cart Narcs. Sebastian chats with Alex about why he policies parking lots, shares his favorite interactions with strangers, and shares his take on the never ending airplane seat recline debate.

  • Presidential Golf and Boston Sports Hub's Tim McKone

    • Golf made the debate stage as Donald Trump and Joe Biden touted their games, but lacked honesty in the process (1:32).
    • The Rocket Mortgage Classic ended with a horrible missed putt as Alex picks up a big winner with Cam Davis (5:12).
    • The LPGA's Dow Championship paired players together and a new international duo took the win (8:05).
    • The US Senior Open was plagued by weather problems at Newport Country Club, but a Monday finish with a playoff gave a LIV golfer their second Senior Major of the season (9:28).
    • Kentucky golf highlighted Michael's vacation week, as he took some cold hard cash from family during a family reunion trip (10:50).
    • Alex was Tuned In to The Bear as the FX hit continues it's third season (13:35).
    • This week's guest is Boston 98.5 The Sports Hub's sports anchor Tim McKone, also known for being the third chair on the station's nationally broadcast Zola and Bertrand. Tim chats with Alex about Boston's incredible sports scene, and he shares his own take on the future of the PGA TOUR and LIV Golf (14:48).
    • The NHL and NBA drafts were this weekend, and were mostly sleepy events except for the venue (The Spire for the NHL), and the nepotism (in the NBA) (33:54).

  • Scheffler Wins Surrounded by the Cops

    • Protesters. Cops. A playoff. And a record sixth win on the season for Scottie Scheffler at the Traveler's Championship (1:42).
    • A runaway finish for journeywoman Amy Yang who claimed the KMPG Women's PGA Championship this weekend. The rest of the field couldn't keep up, and that included Nelly Korda who didn't even make the cut (5:37).
    • LIV Nashville was a surprisingly loud affair, with drones, line dancing, and crowds that followed now 2-time major champion Bryson DeChambeau (7:33).
    • The PGA TOUR now heads to Detroit for the Rocket Mortgage Classic, and we all hope that Rickie Fowler can put together another good week like last year (10:01).
    • Alex's trip last week to Horseshoe Bay Resort included a lot more than just golf, and Jacqueline Lajoie from the resort chats with Alex about how it's family friendly and just the thing for some time away (11:24).
    • In Tuned In, Michael shares reviews from watching Jerry Seinfeld's Unfrosted on Netflix, and catching the new film Thelma in theaters staring 93 year old June Squibb. Alex meanwhile couldn't get enough of Travis Kelce's cameo on the Era's Tour in London (26:43).
    • Alex's Celtics claimed they record 18th NBA Title last week, and he reveled in the parade in downtown Boston. Now attention turns to the Boston Red Sox, Michael's New York Yankees, and in another month, football (35:31).
