The program has had a profound impact on the personal lives of the participants, helping them stay focused, finish school, and pursue their passions. They credit Coach Wade and the program for instilling discipline, determination, and a strong work ethic. The young men have also taken what they have learned and are giving back to their communities by coaching, mentoring, and teaching younger children. The conversation with Cornell Wade and his former students focused on the impact of the program and the importance of education and sports. The participants discussed the challenges they faced, such as academic struggles and personal hardships, and how they overcame them. They emphasized the importance of perseverance, belief in oneself, and staying focused on goals. The conversation also highlighted the role of mentors and the need for representation in education.
