The Olympics has not even begun yet and we have already an ethics disaster on our hands.

In this weeks emergency episode of the EH Podcast, a video podcast this time, I unpack my complex, nuanced, easily misunderstood opinion on this problem.

    About KIM HALLIN

    Mission:
At Unbridled, our mission is to empower horse lovers to establish and maintain healthy boundaries in their interactions with others, including in the horse industry. Through experiential education, online learning and mentoring support, we provide the tools and resources necessary for navigating the complexities of human relationships, especially within the equine community. By fostering empathy, understanding, and community, we strive to help horse lovers across the globe find more peace in their lives, and in their relationships.

    Vision:
Our vision at Unbridled is a world (including the horse industry!) where individuals thrive in authentic and respectful relationships, free from the constraints of outdated narratives and power dynamics. We envision a future where healthy boundaries serve as the foundation for harmonious interactions, fostering a culture of mutual understanding, personal growth, and collective wellbeing. It's all about honoring the dignity and autonomy of every individual – horse, human and otherwise.

    Our Approach:
Drawing inspiration from nature and the wisdom of horses, we offer a unique (and fun!) approach to learning about yourself and understanding what it means to embody healthy boundaries. By harnessing the power of herd observation, staying grounded in what's true (equine ethology), and spending quiet time with horses–and ourselves– in the most natural ways possible, we become students who get to learn from the masters of the Boundary Dance (horses!).

    Empowerment Through Experiential Learning:
Our courses and programs are designed to provide interactive, relationship-based experiences that provide practical skills for establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries in your relationships with people and horses. We'll help you find your voice, learn to advocate lovingly for yourself and the horses in your life, and embrace courageous authenticity.

  • Feels Like Colt Starting Collaboration with Louise Bach Holler

    Contact Louise Here:
    https://rebelhorsecare.eu/about/
    https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100077252592464

Louise Bach Holler is my guest on the podcast today, for a good reason!

Louise is a horse trainer and hoofcare provider certified with the AANHCP who was born in Denmark but currently lives in north east Spain.

Louise is passionate about natural horse keeping, barefoot trimming, and a training that blends food rewards with gentle pressure to fully educate and support a horse in their training in the best way possible.

She has competency in gymnastic groundwork, bitless riding, communication, body language, liberty work and much more.

Side bar, two years ago, I came into care of a Quarter horse colt named Oki. His breeder and I have been collaborating on his slow and gradual upbringing at his original home for the last two years. But this week, the first week of July 2024, Oki transports from one side of Spain to the other, to begin the next chapter of his life as he joins the EH herd here at my farm.

Transporting a 2 year old horse who has always lived at home across a country is a huge thing to ask of him. So I knew I needed help.

I hired Louise 6 months ago, to be my hands, my eyes, my help to train Oki to be best prepared as possible to travel. I am thrilled with the job she has done. So I thought you guys might like to meet her yourself!

I hope you enjoy this episode!

  • Feels Like Looking at the Beginning with Izabella Flemming
    Jun 27 2024

    THE EH FOUNDATION ONLINE COURSE
    https://www.emotionalhorsemanship.com/emotional-horsemanship-foundation-online-course

Continuing on the Polish guest theme from last week, my guest this week is Isabella Flemming. Isa is the reason I got my start with horses. She ran the stable in Poland where I gained my beginnings as an equestrian, as a trainer and as a horseman.

Without Isabella, I would not have had access to horses at a crucial time in my life. But not just any sort of access. Access to horses who lived good lives, were trained and cared for well.

She is one of my mentors, my foundational teachers. And though she doesn’t work with horses anymore, her story is one I am sure many listeners will resonate with.

I brought Isa and her daughter to my farm recently, to show Isa that her kindness, her generosity, her support was not wasted. To show her what she helped me do in my life. It was a full circle moment for me, and I think for her too.

If you are interested in knowing the end, look at the beginning. Here is how I got my beginning.
