    Richard welcomes Professor Derek Connolly to the show who is a consultant cardiologist at Birmingham City Hospital. During the episode, Derek discus's how he assesses patients with possible cardiac pathology's. We discus, history taking , red flags, investigation and referrals. We then discus a case of a patient presenting with chest pain in general practice, which includes when to refer, what is involved in the rapid access to chest pain clinic and perinate history which could increase the likely of cardiac pathology.
