The Hacks are back with more fact-filled fantasy hockey content!

Which players do fantasy managers need to be aware of for next season (i.e. Potential Busts)? We also touch on the Oilers decision not to match the Blues Offer Sheets. Where does Patrik Laine play in Montreal next season, and what is his fantasy outlook? Next week we'll be back with our 2024-2025 Sleeper Picks, so be sure to follow the podcast for more!

    HIGHLIGHTS:
For the purpose of this episode, we are going to define a “Bust” as a player that either fails to live up to expectations based on past performance and/or fails to return fair value based on their average draft position (ADP).

    • Sam Reinhart. A massive individual shooting percentage will bring Reinhart back down to earth.
    • Artemi Panarin. Among other things, a significant jump in shot rate contributed to a career season - is that repeatable next season?
    • Frank Vatrano. Career-highs across the board, particularly on the power play, where he played more, shot more, and converted more - lots of red flags.
    • Quinn Hughes. Led all NHL defensemen in scoring, but power play production was inflated by career-high PPSH%.
    • Linus Ullmark. Can the former Bruin maintain his stellar form in Ottawa? How will a true starter's workload impact his performance?

Which breakout players need to be on your radar for next season? We also spend way too much time discussing the St. Louis Blues' offer sheets to Dylan Holloway and Philip Brogerg (breakout discussion starts roughly 25:00). HIGHLIGHTS:

    • Logan Stankoven. Can the young winger reach 60 points next season?
    • Shane Pinto. Productive player following a lengthy suspension - will he be in the top 6 this season?
    • Bowen Byram. No power play time, no problem! Can the former Av hit 15 goals in 2024-2025?
    • Joseph Woll. Certified starter or 1A to Anthony Stolarz's 1B?
    • 2024-2025 Projections. 82-game projections for all players discussed - G, Pts, PPP, SOG, PIMS, HITS, Blocks
