As strong of an entrance as one can dream to make, Adam Paddock burst into the Ohio scene when he opened for Waka Flocka Flame & MAX as his first full-band show EVER, in the fall of 2020. Since this grand entrance, Paddock has opened for other nationally-acclaimed acts such as Judah & the Lion, Jake Miller, ella jane, Kings Kaleidoscope, Ripe, Truslow, Anna Vaus, Abby Holliday, Gable Price and Friends, Post Sex Nachos, and The Wonderlands. This success led to selling out his debut headlining show, resulting in a near-sell out at an upgraded venue in February of 2022. Paddock has solidified his stake in the legendary Columbus scene with his headlining show, 'COLUMBUS AGAINST THE WORLD' at the iconic Newport Music Hall in March 2023, with nearly 1000 in attendance. This spring, the boys take on part 1 of their east coast tour and will roll out their debut album, ‘Sweet Ohio Light.’

    Bio

Nashville based soul singer-songwriter Jed Harrelson has found a way to fuse sounds of Soul, Rock and R&B. Music connects and he carries that into the center of his work, leaving both a euphoric and familiar presence. While he’s independently released 10 songs in the last two years, he is working on a debut project right now. All of his music is recorded in house with his brother Hank as the audio engineer.

Being from Texarkana, Arkansas instilled a drive to hone in on his craft though the lack of music scene caused him to move where he could really express his artistic message which took him to Fayetteville, Arkansas. This is where he cut his teeth in the Northwest Arkansas music scene. Now living in Nashville since January 2020, Jed is independently touring the country with his band in a gold van called 'The Loaf".

  • Episode 15 | Carl Wockner - Live Looping, Nerding Out On Gear, Building a Groove
    Apr 19 2024

It was an absolute honor to sit down with Carl and talk about Live Looping along with all the combined talents that are necessary for him to create the sound that he has made for him self.

Carl started coming over to the States to write and record in 2011, resulting in the release of his debut album Crayon Days in 2013. Two years later, Wockner scored a global win at the International Acoustic Music Awards (IAMA,) becoming the first and only Australian to ever win top honors.

The creative chameleon who recently signed deals with both Dream Big Dreams Management and Universal Attractions Agency (UAA) draws in a deep breath.

“When you go to a music festival or a big show these days, everything is choreographed to an inch of its life. Bands play to tracks and there’s months and months of rehearsals and it’s the same guitar solo every time. (Pauses.) I will never sound as ‘polished’ as that, but I don’t think I want to. People want to hear what life is like, and life is sometimes a challenge.”

And while Wockner loves himself a good challenge, he also has come to love the pristineness of the game of golf, a sport he learned to play under the watchful eye of his grandmother and a sport that he could easily have made his career.

“I love shutting my brain off from everything else but what I’m doing in that moment,” explains Wockner, who happened to headline the Opening Ceremony of PGA Honda Classic earlier this year. “Anybody who legit meditates will roll their eyes at this, but for me, it’s a form of meditation. All I think is that I’m going to take this seven iron and draw this ball over the edge of that trap.

And crazy enough, it usually does.

Because he is Carl fri**in Wockner.

“I want to send a message to people that you can follow through with your ambitions, even if you’re over 30 with a wife and kids. I want to give people strength for their aspirations so that it flows back to me when I need a little strength myself.”
