  • "Do priests determine who gets forgiven?"
    Nov 21 2025

Why did Jesus tell his disciples they could forgive or retain people's sins? Is it okay for Christians to have their body cremated? I keep hearing that "God is with" someone? What does that even mean?

  • "I worry that I'll be left behind!"
    Nov 20 2025

Why do Exodus and Numbers appear to have different accounts of Moses striking the rock? What do you think of the idea of "have been saved, being saved, and will be saved"? Will some Christians be left behind at the rapture? I worry about that! If we die and are already in heaven, how do we then "rise first" at the return of Christ?

  • "Does God scourge me?" (Hebrews 12)
    Nov 18 2025

Why does James say Abraham was justified when he offered Isaac? Wasn't Abraham a believer before that? I struggle so much with Hebrews 12 and the discipline of God. How can I see grace in this chapter? And what about the idea of Esau selling his birthright? That seems scary to me!

  • "Limited atonement? Third use of the Law?"
    Nov 19 2025

Our church taught us that Jesus died only for some people and others (who are not pre-chosen) have no chance. Is this true? What is the Catholic view of sainthood? Aren't we all saints? Shouldn't we use the Law to define sin? If so, then why does Romans 14 say "whatever is not of faith is sin"? And what about Luther's "third use" of the Law?

  • "I've been slain in the Spirit. It's real!"
    Nov 16 2025

I have experienced being slain in the Spirit! My friend wants us to sleep together. Should I? Can you explain the Sabbath? My son doesn't seem to believe anymore. What should I think? Which is the best Bible version in English? I believe there are two kinds of tongues, and one is to edify yourself. Isn't that what 1 Corinthians 14 is teaching?

  • Grateful: A Heart Made Great and Full by Grace
    Nov 16 2025
What If You're Safer Than You Think? Discussion Questions:
    1. Read John 14:19. How does Jesus tying your life to His resurrection life give you confidence about your eternal security?
    2. Read John 6:37. What does Jesus' promise to "never cast out" reveal about how safe you are with Him—even on your worst day?
    3. Read John 6:39. How does knowing that Jesus' mission was "to lose none" change the way you view your own assurance of salvation?
    4. Read John 10:27–28. What does it mean to you personally that both the Father and the Son hold you in their hands? How does this double-grip shape your sense of security?
    5. Read 2 Timothy 2:13. What assurance do you find in the truth that even when you are faithless, Christ remains faithful? How does this encourage gratefulness?
    6. Read Romans 8:38–39. What threat feels most real to you? How does this passage reassure you that nothing can separate you from Christ?
    7. Read Jude 1:24. How does ending with "He is able to keep you" shift your focus from your promises to God toward His promises to you? How is this a game–changer?

  • Did sin get "kicked out" at salvation?
    Nov 15 2025

What are your thoughts on Oppositional Defiance Disorder? What is the power of sin? Does it indwell us as Christians? Did Adam and Eve ever repent and "get saved"? Why did Jesus tell some people, "Your sins are forgiven"? Is being "slain in the Spirit" biblical?
