The Gravity Well with Alex and Jenny

De: Jenny Yeremiy & Alex MacGillivray
  • Resumen

  • The Gravity Well podcast breaks down heavy ideas into small buckets anyone can handle! Our mission is simple, to set aside our differences and collaborate with others through conversation and process. Together we can face our dilemmas and make the world better for all.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge we are in Blackfoot Treaty 7 territory and Metis District 5 and 6 lands. We take reconciliACTION by seeking the wisdom of elders and principled individuals who aim to restore water, air, land, life, and community. A healthy living relationship with our homeland and each other is our guide.

This was a wonderful opportunity to sit down with Brad Chapin, the director of clinical services in the behavioural health department in Topeka, Kansas. Brad helped us start The Gravity Well podcast, he was our second official guest in Episode 2! Brad's work is critical to everyone's success and therefore vital for the social, environmental, and economic transition. You cannot listen or learn if you do not feel safe.

Shout out to Mary Gordy, I am so grateful for your commitment to SafeBrain and Behavioral Health and Safety.

This week, The Gravity Well welcomes members of the Alberta Council for Environmental Education. Andrea Murphy is an environmental social worker with anti-oppressive, evidence-based practice expertise. Kip Monaghan and Nicole Chang work for ACEE directly and focus on the "Green Jobs" program to highlight green opportunities for students. And Lise Mayne, a 32-year retired teacher turned bluebird habitat restoration volunteer organizer. Each of us explores what led us to our work, what drives us, and what common principles bring us together.

Welcome to The Gravity Well where you break down heavy ideas into small buckets you can handle! Your mission is simple: help us work through your dilemmas in conversation and process. Together you and your community will face your dilemmas and make the world a better place for all! In the spirit of truth, I acknowledge I am a settler on stolen Blackfoot Treaty 7 territory and Metis Districts 5 and 6 lands. I take reconciliACTION by seeking the wisdom of elders and individuals who aim to restore water, air, land, life, or community. A healthy living relationship with the earth and each other is our guide.
