  • Is It Safe To Go Anywhere Anymore? KC Super Bowl Parade Shooting
    Feb 21 2024

Two individuals have been charged with Second Degree Murder, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon in the recent KC Parade shooting. Sadly, this senseless tragedy left one person dead and 22 wounded. According to prosecutors, more charges are expected to come.

On the latest episode of "The Issues of Sports," E-Mak & Rude Dog had Kansas City 610-AM Host Bob Fescoe joins to discuss the impact of gun violence and domestic terrorism on public events. In this case, the shooting occurred during a joyful celebration of the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory, turning a glorious day into a nightmare.

It's a sad reality that gun violence has crept into everything from grocery stores to championship parades. Innocent lives are taken for no reason, and we must ask ourselves if it's safe to attend any sort of crowd event without metal detectors?

Let's come together and work towards a safer future for all. Our hearts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time. Quick podcast where we examine.

  • Bill Belichick's Future & Draymond Green's Future
    Dec 24 2023

The Patriots are struggling. Bill Belichick is considered by most to be the Greatest NFL Coach of All-Time. But time has moved on, so has Tom Brady collecting a Super Bowl trophy in Tampa after leaving New England. The draft picks Belichick has made the last few years have mostly not panned out. Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston has reported that about a month or so ago the Kraft family decided to not bring Belichick back. Whether that is true or not, does Belichick even want to return, does it make sense for him to return? Should he take the blame for the Pats lack of success and playoffs since Brady left. Or is sports cyclical and like Greg Poppovich in San Antonio who's been losing since his Hall of Famers retired, maybe Belichick hasn't lost a step at all. And where would be good destinations if he does part ways? Rude Dog and I wrap this episode of "Issues" discussing the Warriors Draymond Green's indefinite suspension from the NBA. What's next here? What constitutes being ready to return and what's going to happen to the likely Hall of Famer's legacy? Could he find himself not in the Hall of Fame? So many issues to discuss. • Jim Brown Ja Legacy & Accountability
    May 21 2023

The greatest football & lacrosse player of all-time Jim Brown has passed away. He leaves behind a tremendous legacy as a player and civil rights activist. His accomplishments are many during his legendary life. That said, his legacy is clouded by several violent allegations that he abused women. He had multiple brushes with the law during his life. Unfortunately, this is part of the conversation. Grizzlies star Ja Morant is in the process of ruining his legacy and potentially throwing away his career. He's voluntarily 2x this year decided to wave a firearm on social media. While these are two completely different issues and circumstances, they both pollute the star's legacy. While there are levels of accountability, Brown, who did admit to having anger problems had to deal with legal issues, and now in his death at 87, the NY Times obituary sub-heading mentioned his violent past with women in the article, as well as many media outlets. Ja's accountability is coming as he is looking at a hefty suspension by the NBA. Can Ja see that no matter if you're the greatest of all time at your given sport, if violence or lawbreaking is part of your life, you will be held accountable, and it will affect your legacy? Rudy "Rude Dog" Reyes & I kick around how people are complicated on the latest episode of The Issues of Sports.
