  • Nottingham Forest 1-3 Newcastle United
    Nov 11 2024

Second half strikes from Alexander Isak, Joelinton and Harvey Barnes capped a fine turnaround from Newcastle United as they came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest on Sunday. Murillo's header had given the hosts a half time lead at the City Ground, but Alexander Isak's opportunistic leveller - his fourth goal in four games - drew the Magpies level ten minutes after the restart. Joelinton's superb effort then put the visitors in front, before substitute Harvey Barnes made sure of the points inside the last ten minutes with a well-taken finish after a quick counter-attack. The result lifts Eddie Howe's side to eighth place in the Premier League table - just a point shy of the Champions League places.

  • Newcastle United 1-0 Arsenal
    Nov 2 2024

Newcastle United returned to winning ways in the Premier League after recording a 1-0 win against Arsenal on Saturday afternoon. Alexander Isak's header from Anthony Gordon's inch-perfect cross fired the hosts ahead, the Swede's third goal in as many competitive matches, in the early stages of the league encounter. Eddie Howe's side then held firm to record a well-deserved clean sheet, their second in as many competitive matches after Wednesday's 2-0 win against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, and their first Premier League victory since September.

  • Newcastle United 2-0 Chelsea
    Oct 31 2024

Eddie Howe's Magpies are into the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup for the third season in a row following a high-octane St. James' Park success against Chelsea. The Blues had narrowly beaten Newcastle at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League three days earlier but United gained some revenge by knocking them out of the cup thanks to Alexander Isak's third goal of the campaign and a Axel Disasi own goal.

  • Newcastle United 0-1 Brighton
    Oct 19 2024

The Magpies lost at home for the first time since January as Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen made a string of saves at St. James' Park.

The Netherlands number one denied Newcastle time and time again, either side of a 35th-minute goal from Danny Welbeck - who was sadly stretchered off in the second period. It was the Magpies' first defeat on Tyneside since champions Manchester City edged them out in a 3-2 thriller at the beginning of the year, but Eddie Howe's men largely dominated proceedings without being able to find a way past Verbruggen.

  • Everton 0-0 Newcastle United
    Oct 6 2024

Anthony Gordon saw a first half penalty saved by Jordan Pickford as Newcastle United were held to a goalless draw at Everton on Saturday night. James Tarkowski's foul on Sandro Tonali handed England winger Gordon the chance to score against his former club on Merseyside, but his international teammate was equal to it, saving low to his left. That meant that Eddie Howe's side had to settle for a point in the end on their final trip to Goodison Park, after a hard-fought encounter with Sean Dyche's men.

  • Newcastle United 1-0 Wimbledon
    Oct 1 2024

Newcastle United progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup - and set up a home tie against Chelsea - with a narrow win over AFC Wimbledon at St. James' Park. The League Two side made life difficult for the much-changed Magpies in a fixture which was switched to Tyneside with the Wombles' pitch was unplayable following torrential rain last week. The floodgates never quite opened here but Fabian Schär's penalty was enough to send United through, with the Magpies dominating possession but neither side creating much in the way of clear-cut chances. Join Jonny and Lee outside of St. James' Park at full-time.

  • Newcastle United 1-1 Manchester City
    Sep 28 2024

Anthony Gordon's second goal of the season earned Newcastle United a 1-1 draw with Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.

Gordon stepped up to send Ederson the wrong way from the spot just before the hour after being felled by the Brazilian goalkeeper, cancelling out Joško Gvardiol's first half opener at St. James' Park in an entertaining encounter. Gordon's leveller means Eddie Howe's side have now scored in their last 22 top flight outings at home - an impressive run stretching back to the 2022/23 season.
