  • 210. 5 Non-Negotiable Days That Changed How I Run My Business
    Oct 1 2025

If you looked at your calendar right now, would it reflect what you actually need as a business owner—or just what everyone else needs from you? Clients, calls, kids, carpool…it all ends up there. But what about the days that keep you grounded, creative, and focused?

In this episode, I’m walking you through the 5 non-negotiable days I put on my calendar every single month. They’ve completely shifted how I feel about running a business and how I show up as a CEO, mom, and human.

These aren’t “someday” days. They’re blocked, protected, and treated like client appointments I can’t cancel. When I skip them, I feel it. When I stick to them, everything in life and business runs smoother.

When you protect your calendar, you’re protecting yourself, your business, and your peace.

  • 209. The Backpack Analogy: What to Do When Business Feels Too Heavy
    Sep 24 2025

Life doesn’t pause when you’re running a business… and neither does your business when life gets messy. This summer I was reminded of that in a big way; navigating grief, burnout, family struggles, and still needing to show up for my clients and team.

In this episode, I’m sharing a story from my friend Michelle Gifford that stopped me in my tracks, plus my own “backpack” analogy for what it feels like to carry the constant weight of business when life keeps piling on.

The truth? We can’t put the backpack down. But we can take a few rocks out, ask for help when we need it, and give ourselves permission to do less when we’re running at 30% instead of 100.

Inside this episode, I’m talking about:

    • The backpack analogy and why business always comes with weight
    • How I decide on my 3 non-negotiables a day to keep things moving
    • Why contracts can act as protection when emotions are high with clients
    • Communicating honestly with clients without oversharing
    • Finding a business buddy (or even sending a quick voice note) for solidarity
    • The importance of giving yourself grace and not expecting 100% every day

You are not climbing this mountain alone. Other entrepreneurs are right there with you, figuring out how to balance life, family, and business.

My challenge for you this week? Send a little kindness to someone else carrying their own heavy backpack—maybe a $5 Venmo for coffee, or a simple voice note that says, “I see you.” Those tiny gestures matter more than we realize.

Even on the messy days, your work is worth it.

  • 208. Legal Must-Have to Plan, Protect and Maximize Your Next Brand Shoot
    Sep 18 2025

In this week's episode, I want to talk about brand shoots. Not just the pretty photos you see online, but the planning, strategy, and legal protections that go into making them worth your time (and money).

Tune in as I break down exactly how The Legal Paige team approaches brand shoots and content days; from mapping them to the marketing calendar, to choosing a color direction, to making sure contracts and copyright are buttoned up.

With my background as both a photographer and a lawyer, I have the unique perspective most business owners don’t hear: how to walk into a shoot day fully prepared, how to avoid legal headaches down the road, and why B-roll and behind-the-scenes content might just be more valuable than headshots.

    Here’s what we cover:

    • How often to plan brand shoots (and why TLP schedules at least 1–2 a year)
    • The 4 phases of planning we follow before every shoot
    • Legal must-haves: contracts, model releases, and property agreements
    • Copyright vs. commercial license (what’s the difference and why it matters)
    • Tips for working with photographers, content creators, and even friends-as-models
    • Why brand shoots are about more than visuals (they’re an energy reset for your business!)

By the end of this episode, you’ll know how to make your next brand shoot strategic, creative, and legally legit—so the photos you take can power your business for months to come.

  • 203. The True Legal Risks of Using ChatGPT to Draft Your Contracts
    May 13 2025

In this episode, I’m diving deep into one of the questions I get asked the most: Can’t I just use ChatGPT to write my contract? I get it. It’s quick, free, and sounds pretty legit. But the truth? It’s not even close to legally safe.

In fact, my legal team and I ran a little experiment. We asked ChatGPT to generate a contract for a wedding photographer and then sat down and tore it apart, clause by clause. In this behind-the-scenes breakdown, I’m walking you through exactly what AI gets wrong (and occasionally right), and why your contracts should never be left up to a robot.

You have worked too hard to build your business and reputation, don’t risk losing it all to an AI drafted contract. Stay protected with attorney-approved contracts at TheLegalPaige.com and have peace of mind knowing you’re legally legit.

    What You’ll Learn:

    • The biggest legal risks of using AI-generated contracts (and what they miss every time)
    • Why vague legalese isn’t doing you or your clients any favors
    • The 20+ essential clauses ChatGPT completely forgot to include
    • What plain language contracts really look like (and why they matter in court)
    • Why industry-specific legal protections are key to avoiding nightmare client situations
