I’ve been there so many times myself: when life feels normal, when things are working well, when I’m making progress, feeling happy, healthy, grateful, and full of energy, I think to myself this is how life is meant to be lived. But the moment something goes wrong whether it’s bad news, an unexpected failure in business, or even just a sleepless night suddenly my brain gets triggered, and I start spiraling back into old ways of thinking. The cycle begins: negative thoughts, unhealthy emotions, self-doubt, over-analyzing, and telling myself stories that don’t serve me.
As entrepreneurs, this happens often. A setback in business, a disappointment, a closed deal, loosing clients, being rejected or even the stress of a long week can trick our minds into believing that life is worse than it actually is. We start doubting our goals, our vision, even our relationships and the people around us. We start to tell old stories from the past stories of being wronged, tricked, or taken advantage of and we end up draining our energy, harming our health, and wasting our most valuable resource: time.
But here’s the truth. Not every bad moment means your life is broken. Not every mistake means you’re a failure. Not every sleepless night means your life is falling apart. It’s just temporary, and it will pass. The key is breaking that loop and refusing to let your body and mind live in that cycle.
