Satan's fall stemmed from pride that envied God's glory and greatness. Are you letting the enemy steal God's glory in your life by allowing other's envy erode your hope? Too many believers fail to recognize that we are not called to coddle envy and pride, not only are we to remove it from our lives, we also need to protect ourselves from those who are fueled with envy. Most people are not aware of the envy in their lives, let alone the effects of it. But they most certainly feel the outcome of their envy but will credit it to other factors that only give birth to.. you guessed it, more envy. You might be bleeding in areas that you aren't aware of, the book of Proverbs is more than ancient or divine wisdom, it is a mirror for our minds, heart, and ultimately our souls. Today in chapter 23 of Proverbs we embark on a journey that points us towards the effects of envy. We all have our own perspectives on life, on success and on morality. But where do we get our perspectives from? Is it culture, country or from Christ? It is possible for us, even with good intentions, to wander off into a life that is far from Jesus, while claiming to be attached to The Vine. What are the trellis' you are building your life on? Proverbs 22 is where we are going to be today - this is a "get the old out, and bring in the new" kind of message. Get ready, this is going to be great!

Have you ever slept through an alarm? I have and I can still remember the frantic hurry that follows after you realize that you were asleep for way longer than you intended to. Our spiritual life at times wanders off and we spiritually can fall asleep if we aren't mindful of the spiritual "alarm clocks" that was warning you to wake up! Today we bring our study in the book of James to a close and look at the final warning James gives believers who are wandering off, or dozing off. How do you rate your spiritual awakeness? Good? Bad? Asleep? Lets put it to the test and see if you are on the path, or have wandered off in your drowsiness.

What is your prayer life like? Is it exclamations without transformations? Is it chart topping in lyrics but lacks the power to topple hell? is it doctrinally sound but detached from The Divine because we focus on being correct over being connected? Every single person who has ever lived and will ever live will admit that the world could do with more patience. But isn't it funny how everyone wants others to be patient with them, but fails to see that we also need patience with others, this problem with patience is not something that medication, self help of rest can fix, this is a spiritual problem and the answer is the fruit of The Spirit. Today I want to challenge you form God's Word to cultivate the fruit of...wait for it.... Patience!
