  • Our focus on today's Guardians of Martin County podcast episode is the Loxa-Lucie Headwaters. This project is a consortium of non governmental organizations that are working together to conserve wild lands in southeastern Martin County, Florida- between the headwaters of the Loxahatchee River and the South Fork of the St. Lucie River. With us today are several individuals who have been key players in this project that's been going on for a couple years: Greg Braun: Executive Director, the Guardians of Martin County Barbara Birdsey: Founder, The Pegasus Foundation, and the Treasured Lands Foundation and Member of the Loxa-Lucie Headwaters Steering Committee John Sedwitz: President Hobe Sound Golf Club Homeowners Association & Hobe Sound Concerned Citizens Coalition, and Member of the Loxa-Lucie Headwaters Steering Committee Geoffrey Smith: Artist, Artist and Member of the Loxa-Lucie Headwaters Steering Committee Jeff Corwin: Television Wildlife Series Host, Member of the Loxa-Lucie Headwaters Steering Committee
