    The Men Who: is a men’s collective for mental wellbeing. With The Men Who: men have the opportunity to talk, listen, support, care for and help themselves and each other build meaningful connections in-person, online and together. 


    ‘The Men Who: Talk’ is our podcast. We’ve been running men’s talking circles in Edinburgh and beyond since 2019, but here we’re bringing the conversation to you, exploring and sharing our experiences relating to men’s mental wellbeing. 


    Each episode you’ll hear from our Trustees, members, inspirational guests, and people we’ve met on our journey so far on how they’re learning to actively manage their minds. 


    Together it is our purpose to raise the power of sharing what’s on our mind and make it easier for men everywhere to access their wellbeing potential.

    Welcome to Episode 17 of ‘The Men Who: Talk’. Today we’re joined by Sean Tierney, a qualified counsellor, outdoor therapist and co-founder of Outdoor Therapy Scotland. Sean offers 'Nature Connection Sessions', helping his clients engage with the outdoors and experience the holistic benefits of nature on both mental and physical wellbeing. In this episode, John and Sean explore what ‘nature’ means to us as humans, how we can become part of it again in ways that benefit us as individuals and communities, and the importance of helping our children play, explore and understand the world around them as a key part of their, as well as our own, growth and development.

    Welcome to Episode 16 of ‘The Men Who: Talk’. Today we’re joined by David Hughes. David is a youth worker, facilitator and oral storyteller based in Fife. He supports people to connect with nature and themselves. By telling old folk tales, myths and legends, David hopes to draw out the old wisdom within stories that might help us vision for a better future where people see themselves as part of the living world rather than as something separate. In this episode, David explains how he got into the art of storytelling and why it can be such a powerful medium for our individual and collective wellbeing. As a special treat, he also leaves us with a beautiful and evocative story relevant to all who are part of The Men Who: conversation and beyond.
