  • The Mummafesto podcast is hosted by Stella Creasy MP, a Labour backbench MP and mum of two young children. Each week it considers how parenting influences politics.

    In episode 11 I speak to Sarah Ockwell-Smith. Sarah is a parenting expert and is often credited as being the founder of the 'gentle parenting' movement and is vocal about childism (the unconscious discrimination of children in society). Sarah has authored 15 books, translated into over 30 languages, which have sold over half a million copies. Her latest book ‘How to Raise a Teen’ is published in July 2024. We discussed everything from what her children think of her parenting advice to changes she wants to see in the education sector.
