  • 102. Murdaugh Murders
    Mar 25 2023

The name has been in the news for some time now with multiple documentaries having been made, so we dive into our thoughts on the murders at the center of the downfall of the Murdaugh Dynasty, as well as a brief explanation of the timeline for those unfamiliar. The family seems to serve a stark reminder of the dark reality of established white wealthy families and their influences throughout the US, and what they can get away with.

A charitable organization to help rescue animals was created in memory of Mallory Beach. Please be sure to visit https://www.mals-palz.com/

  • 98. The Controversial Murder Conviction of Darlie Routier
    Jun 12 2022

Maria and Laura are finally back together from break, and we are so excited to tell you about the changes to the podcast. Not too much is changing, but tune into this episode to hear what's coming up! In this Spooky episode, Maria covers the murders of brothers Devon and Damon Routier in Rowlett, Texas in 1996 ... as well as the investigation and arrest of their own mother Darlie Routier as the lead suspect. But nothing is quite as it seems, and there is more than meets the eye in this homocide investigation. This is one of those cases where you're not sure who's right, who's telling the truth, and we're not totally certain the right person ended up in prison on death row. Is Darlie Routier actually innocent, or was she wrongfully convicted and the real killer is still out there? Listen and let us know what you think!
