  • My Two Cents On Caresha Please
    Aug 9 2024

So, Caresha Please is back, and I’m giving you my raw thoughts before I even watch it, then I circle back after watching the episode with my reaction.

Caresha’s rebranding and the intense scrutiny she faces are tough because people are brutal. I’m proud she’s fighting to keep her career going, even with all the drama. More stuff might come out eventually, but for now, she’s seizing her moment to speak her truth and share her "experience."

My predictions about City Girls in previous episodes were proven true—they’re officially done but JT’s new album is fire, by the way—definitely check it out!

  • Navigating Friendships As An Adult
    Jul 24 2024

In this podcast episode, I reflect on the complexities of friendships as an adult, drawing parallels to a "board of friends" where each person occupies a distinct space based on the depth and nature of our connection.

I emphasize the importance of recognizing gaps in your friend board and seeking out new connections to fill those gaps.

Furthermore, I discuss the concept of firing friends when necessary, asserting that it's okay to set boundaries and end friendships that no longer serve me without feeling obligated to fix them.

  • TRUE LIFE: I'm Addicted To Social Media
    Jul 4 2024

I openly confess my addiction to the internet and social media, admitting that I haven't intentionally taken a break EVER.

I reflect on how I constantly scroll through apps like Instagram and TikTok, feeling like I'm living in a digital bubble rather than in the real world.

Watching the show "Three Body Problem" on Netflix made me see social media as an alternate reality, prompting me to decide to take a break. Despite my addiction, I plan to use social media minimally for promoting my podcast, aiming to have a more balanced relationship with the internet.

I also discuss the ethical issues of digital marketing and how algorithms manipulate us, concluding with my decision to engage more with real life and reduce my reliance on the virtual world.

  • My Two Cents On The BET Awards
    Jul 2 2024

    No script, no nothing!

I'm on here spitballing and chittin' and chattin' about these people at the BET Awards

Why do y'all think people don't play on the MET gala's top like they do the BET award's?

The guest's really take "come as you are" to another level for the BET Awards, cause Satana, what were you wearing? Y'all know them big boots are never too far though, he will pair them with anything.

    Angela Simmons? SIGH

Random, what do yall think Taraji's liquor of choice is?

Of course I always think I know what people could've done better, so I leave my tidbits on how the BET can elevate the awards show.

  • Denouncing Greekdom ft. Ex AKA Chelsea Murray
    Jun 26 2024

You've seen it on social media—people are leaving Greek orgs at an interesting rate, it makes you go hmmm.

Denouncing Greekdom features a tidbit on how I became in AKA + Chelsea, who shares her journey denouncing her membership in the same org.

Influenced by her faith and relationship with God, Chelsea's discomfort with the rituals began during pledging when the spiritual implications clashed with her upbringing.

Despite questioning and peer influence, she felt compelled by God to leave years later. Chelsea's decision was met with mixed reactions from her former sorority sisters, some understanding, others distant.

She emphasizes that denouncing isn't a trend but a spiritual conviction, urging introspection and transparency about Greek life's spiritual aspects.

  • Gentrification + Girl Talk FT. Brooklyn Native Brittany Antoinette
    Jun 20 2024

Inspired by the Alizé bottle, we unpack gentrification—what the real issue is and how transplants and natives can help.

Brittany Antoinette, host of the Not So CEO Talkshow and Brooklyn native, takes us back in time and shares what old Brooklyn was like pre-9/11, before masses began moving to Brooklyn after not feeling safe in Manhattan.

She grew up in “The Flossy” a tight-knit community and compares it to now, where outsiders seemingly exclude natives based on status and aesthetic.

Although gentrification seems bigger than us and a fault of the government and high rent costs pushing natives out, we chat through what can realistically be done to connect everyone.

Towards the end, we talk about the "internet personalities" creating red tape around certain events; these individuals have been negatively impacted by internet culture & are pressed to be known and liked, losing themselves in the process.

We also question if they ever really knew themselves.
