  • Overcoming 5 Years in Federal Prison and 8 years of Probation Part 2
    Mar 11 2021

In this continuation of the previous episode, David continues his story, starting with where we left off previously. We begin this episode right before David has his trial and is sentenced. We later talk about his experience in prison, as well as how in many ways, his time after prison, in probation and in a halfway house, was more stifling and oppressive than his prison sentence. • Moving past 3 Years in Prison and a Homicide Charge
    Feb 22 2021

This episode, I have my first guest speaker on! Jeff has lived in Michigan his entire life, and shortly after high school was convicted of a homicide charge. However, his story and the circumstances surrounding his conviction are much more extensive than I can put into words here. After Jeff's time in prison, he managed to take control of his life and graduate from the University of Michigan. After enduring many failures, changing his mindset, and taking the time to learn from all his experiences, Jeff is now successful and working in the business and IT field. The ultimate goal of this episode is to show the listener that any barrier is surmountable, regardless of the respective difficulties that may be in the way.

  • Murder of Nicole Lovell
    Feb 8 2021

This first episode examines a recent case in the Virginia area. I chose this as the first episode to cover as one of the suspects attended high school with me. I followed this case closely when it was all over the news a few years ago. In this episode, the details of the case and the trial are covered. Later on in the episode, my co-host and I talk about the dangers of social media in this day and age, and potential ways anonymous chatting apps can impose stricter rules or guidelines.
