  • Welcome to my new podcast called Power of Play. I am a Child Development major studying my Bachelor's degree at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. I am also an Early Head Start Teacher in East County San Diego.

    In this podcast, I discuss the importance of play in early childhood, adolescence and adulthood.

    The first episode of Power of Play will be on a subject that garners a lot of attention and divide: Technology and Kids. Is technology the root of developmental delays in children? Are we seeing a decline in imagination? Is there any chance technology can benefit play? In this episode, I will discuss how technology impacts early childhood, adolescence and adulthood. We will take a deep dive into how we can use technology to our advantage and how to monitor, moderate, and integrate technology at home, and in the classroom. Guest speakers: Amanda Chandler.
