    Join host Naomi Paxton (researcher, performer and broadcaster) and Mathew Herbert (composer and director of the Radiophonic Institute) as they celebrate the sonic achievements of 2022.


    In the episode Naomi and Matthew talk through the power of sound, in its ability to represent political events, disappearing organisms, nature and society as a whole. They are joined by category judges and guests including artists Matmos and Dr Christian Ching from the Natural History Museum to discuss the multitude of amazing submissions from 2022, featuring sounds from Indonesia, Ukraine, South Africa, Canada and Taiwan ranging from cicadas, political protests and drift ice.
