  • Thank You, Joe
    Jul 23 2024

    July 23, 2024

Joe Biden has stepped aside and endorsed his VP, Kamala Harris, for President. This kind of sacrifice for the good of the country has happened only a few times in our history, and frankly, it’s the kind of thing that makes America special, a legacy smeared by only one event – January 6, when Trump supporters attacked America and tried to overthrow an election by force. These two acts, one of patriotism and the other of pure greed and hate, define today’s America at its best, and worst. We discuss this and more with Phil Glover of AFGE and former Congressional Candidate Randy Bryce.

  • Always Anti-Worker
    Jul 22 2024

    July 22, 2024

The Republican National Convention is over, and once again, it was a well-staged, well-organized, four-day bludgeoning of truth, democracy, and working-class values. Now that it’s over, and ear-bandages can no longer be mistaken for a fashion statement, we discuss how America can recover and move forward. Our guests today are Craig Harrington of Media Matters, and Sarah Burris of Raw Story.

  • The Myth of Choice
    Jul 19 2024

    July 19, 2024

Project 2025 is an absolute disaster for the working class, but it’s being sold as some grand appeal to choice. This is how they took our pensions and replaced them with 401ks, and it’s how they’re closing our public schools. Will it work this time, too? We discuss this and more with Labor Reporter Steven Greenhouse and Karla Walter of The Center for American Progress.

Simply no one else like Rick

I started listening to the Rick Smith Show when I first moved to Pennsylvania and Rick was in the early days of building his show. I frequently say that Rick taught me everything I needed to know about Pennsylvania politics. Since those days, the Rick Smith Show has grown national in scope, bringing unparalleled focus on the stories that matter to working-class Americans. Rick's slogan "the voice of the working-class" couldn't be more on the mark. There is no other show that brings the voices of the labor movement, workers' struggles, and politics and policies critical to working families.

And I challenge you not to laugh in between the serious discussions. Rick is one of a kind.
