Ware Lodge of Research, and Lexington Lodge No. 1 are conducting Virtual Masonic Education with a series entitled 21st Century Conversations on Freemasonry. Tonight's presentation, “The Right Stuff - Guarding the West Gates So Only the Worthy May Pass," is delivered by Bro. Gerald K. Johnston, Officer at Lexington Lodge No. 1. Johnston currently serves as the Lodge Marshal, Assistant Secretary, Music Director and is a long-time Instructor in the Lodge's Structured Degree Program and former Chair of the Lodge Education Committee. He frequently serves on investigation committees for the Lodge. He is a member of the Rubicon Masonic Society, serves on its Executive Committee, and is a member of the William O. Ware Lodge of Research. In this presentation, he points out that once a candidate passes through the West Gate, there are additional gates - some less obvious than others - through which only men worthy of being Freemasons should be allowed to pass. -- The purpose of this education is to assist in improving one's self by establishing a deeper understanding of Freemasonry, its traditions and practices, and further cementing the brotherhood of the Fraternity for the betterment of mankind.
