  • Gary Farnes - Six Star Journey - Hub Community Member Spotlight
    Dec 19 2025

In this episode we're joined by Gary Farnes, one of our original community members.

Gary has been with us from the start, and we've also been there for him on the start of his journey too.

From starting running by joining a Need for Speed course, Gary's marathon journey began with the London Marathon and running it virtually in the miserable wet and cold day in 2020.

Gary went on to run all 6 majors, represent GB in duathlon and complete Ironman Hamnburg in the middle of this all as well.

He completed his 6 star journey only last month at New York marathon and we caught up with him to chat about how he's feeling it's all over and what's next after this wonderful adventure.

Also, if we didn't already mention Gary is 63 and with a marathon PB of 3:17, it goes to show that with the right people around you, the right training plan and structure and the right determination, planning and passion - anything is possible!!

We have one final episode of the year coming out next week. Thank you for your continued support of the podcast and we'll see you in 2026!
