  • How to Revitalize Your Career as a PTA
    Jul 30 2024

Today, I'm diving into a topic that's close to my heart: how to revitalize your career if you're feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in your role as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). If you’ve been experiencing burnout and self-sabotage, it might be time to break free and explore new opportunities.

In this episode, I’m going to talk about how burnout is becoming a major issue in our field. We all feel the pressure from demanding productivity standards, impersonal group treatments, and the frustrating lack of pay and advancement opportunities. I know these challenges all too well. About 12 years ago, I was in the same place you might be now—feeling stuck and unfulfilled. I eventually left my PTA role to become an entrepreneur and open my own clinic. I realized I needed to find a new path that allowed me to help people more effectively and find greater personal satisfaction.

I'll share my personal journey and the strategies that helped me overcome burnout and self-sabotage. We’ll cover practical tips for identifying what’s holding you back, pursuing advanced education or certifications, and creating a plan for career advancement. I’ll also touch on the benefits of becoming a Stretch Mobility Coach and the importance of understanding legal considerations if you’re thinking about going solo.
