On December 2, 1989, a missing child report was made in Phoenix, AZ regarding 4-year-old Christopher Conan Milke. He was last seen with James Lynn Styers who took Christopher to Metrocenter Mall to accompany him on some errands and take a picture with Santa Claus. While at the mall Jim used the restroom and had Christopher wait for him outside the stall. When he finished, he discovered that Christopher had vanished. Immediately he calls Debra, who frantically calls the police. A huge search for Christopher begins and it is broadcast over all the local news channels. The following day police had arrested a man by the name Roger Scott, who had conveniently run into Jim and Christopher at the mall. After an intense 14-hour interrogation, Roger would eventually confess to police that Christopher was dead.
