  • Episode 12: Was It Love
    Aug 6 2020

It's "Relationship Week" here on the podcast and in today's episode of Mom Talk, I thought I'd share a little bit of my story AND my love of K-dramas. Spoiler Alert: I share the not so glamorous way I became a single mom and I don't let that define me. I'm also hoping you see no matter what your story that you can live past it and go on to have the life and love you want. Every relationship, I challenge the man interested in me to love me for who I am. I also make room to do the same.

Listen, you do not want to miss this episode. It's a mix of hindsight is 2020 mixed with grace. We all need to give ourselves more grace for the decisions we've made and the people we've picked (whether or not on purpose) to father our children. They're here, we're here, let's make a good life.

We don't always get to choose how life turns out, but we do get to choose what we do with it. Tune in and share your thoughts. I'd love to know what you think.

Next week, we'll hear from a female relationship coach but don't forget to check out the previous episode with Jay Hurt. He dropped some nuggets that will bless you in love and business.

  • Episode 11: How to find the right romantic and business relationship for you with Jay Hurt
    Aug 4 2020

In today’s episode, I interview Jay Hurt, Relationship Strategist, Chief Operating Officer at The Academy of Creative Coaching, and Mastermind Trainer. Simply put, Jay is a man you need to know. We discuss relationships of all kinds, dating, marriage, and business. Jay shares why he loves helping single parents deepen their understanding of how to find a relationship that's right for them. As a former single dad himself, he knows exactly what we’ve experienced.

Jay Hurt is a phenomena relationship coach, and I love his practical wisdom that you can tell he thinks a lot before he speaks. Listen in and be inspired by all the wisdom Jay has picked up over the years. Jay impressed me so much that I invited him to be on a panel for my first “Brunch and Love Relationship Soiree” in 2017. We also discuss connecting with other entrepreneurs, building social capital, and how to get “put on.”

    Tips for networking:

    • Figure out who aligns with your values
    • Building community
    • Building REAL relationships leads to REAL friendships
    • Be who you are
    • Focus on ONE thing that moves the needle in your life and business

Then, we discuss “How to fit love into your life” as a busy single mom.

His tips to fit love into your life:

    • Be comfortable with adjusting what you need in different seasons
    • Face what you believe
    • Find the issue that’s keeping you from wanting to date again or being afraid of dating
    • Don’t be afraid to seek help with a therapist or a relationship coach
    • Watch your energy because you could be repelling potential mates

And so much more! Get this tea, mama.

We mention a few men I think you should check out. Each of these men we both hold in high esteem and support their work in the world. Paul C. Brunson, Lamar Tyler, Tieron Spear (not worried about vanity metrics, this millionaire puts in work and is hard to find on the internet), and Derrick Jaxson.

Listen, this episode gets to the heart of the matter, and I hope it truly blesses you to think about your stance on relationships. Give yourself grace, mama. No pressure. No rush. But if you’re ready, take the nuggets that bless you and go get it. Sis! Real love exists!

We'd love to hear what you thought about today's episode. Let us know on social what you thought and please continue to share the podcast with moms you know.

    You're worthy.

  • Ep 10: You get to choose with Kaywanda Lamb
    Jul 23 2020

In this episode, Kaywanda discusses how you can do both and reminds you that you get to choose. What does this mean? Well, you can raise your babies well AND chase your dreams. You can do what you want in your career and love life AND raise strong, well-loved babies. Single parenting can be like drinking from a water hose. That, by the way, if you’ve done it, is almost impossible. The water comes out fast, gets all over the place, and drips downward missing your mouth if the pressure is too slow. LOL! A struggle. But, it is possible. And so, you may have some challenges, a full plate, some folks and things to cut out of your life, but if you focus, you CAN do both.

Stop waiting for perfection and live the life you want right now. You can do both. You get to choose.

Tune in for some Mom Talk and inspiration to get going on your dreams. And, please rate and review the podcast if it is speaking to you in this season. We love knowing that it's impacting you and helping you get further faster. Learn more about Kaywanda at KaywandaLamb.com
