  • San Jose Mafia Don Joseph Cerrito

    On this day in the mob, September 7th 1978, San Jose Mafia boss Joseph Cerrito passed away of natural causes. He was one of the mob bosses captured at the infamous Appalachian Mafia Summit in 1957. He was an extremely under the radar Mob Boss who also had numerous extremely successful legitimate ventures as well. He actually sued LIFE  Magazine  in 1967 when they accused him on being the Mafia boss of San Jose. The suit was tossed when the it came of course Cerrito actually was the boss of SJ.
