This EP celebrated the completion of our rebrand from Confluence World to Treading Grain. 1 Timothy 5:17 describes an ox treading out grain, and we truly believe that this is the type of unwavering, methodical approach that each guest shares together. The disposition towards their craft is similar to that of an Ox treading a field, and preparing the crops for harvest. In a twist of fate, God brought Sydney Burns and Tiernan Shoudy together at Ultimate Training Camp in Fort Collins, Colorado. Sydney is a point guard for the UC Davis Aggies, and Tiernan a forward for Michigan State ice hockey. Sydney is a long time friend of Bryan's as they grew up being neighbors and graduated from high school together. Tiernan is the roommate of Matt Basgall, who came on the Confluence in Season 1. In this electric crossover, Sydney and Tiernan bridge the gap of faith and sport by speaking on their time at UTC, how their last seasons went and they uncover how their relationships with God have been strengthened since being in college. Throughout the show, there are significant undertones of leadership, culture, and trust in His plan.

I drove to Inkster, Michigan in order to film this episode with Kamaria McDaniel at her family home. It was a phenomenal experience to take the show on the road and tangibly see where a guest comes from. Her story is full of twists and turns, but the one thing that stayed consistent is God. Kamaria walks in faith, and this is illustrated through her basketball journey at Penn State, Baylor and Michigan State. She is pursuing international basketball as well as climbing the ladder in real estate, and enjoys reading, fashion and other passions that make her to into a joyful mosaic of experiences.
