    • (00:31) - What happened to our Death After Dark Instagram?
    • (13:43) - Sibling Murders
According to statistics from the Bureau of Justice, 72% of murders by siblings
involved a brother killing a brother and 14% involved a brother killing a sister.

In this episode of the True Crime Society Podcast, we discuss three cases of Sinister Siblings.

    • In May 2024, Angela Gosser killed her husband Larry and her sister Jennifer Wilson in Kentucky. She also attempted to kill her brother Darryl before taking her own life. The motive for these murders is still unclear.
    • Also in May 2024, Bethany Israel went to dinner at her brother Jack’s home. Bethany was in her second trimester of pregnancy. Family became concerned when Bethany did not return home. Police were called and they found pieces of Bethany’s body on the front porch of neighboring houses. It is believed Jack killed her because he thought she was ‘no longer innocent.’
    • Connor Young and his sister Amber had a tough start to life. They were placed in foster care and Amber endured sexual abuse. In 2021, the two siblings were seen on CCTV leaving a property. Only Connor returned. Amber’s body was found shortly after. Connor would be arrested, but not before writing this post on social media: “Amber, you will fly high for the rest of time. We will all miss you. Especially me. I love you. GBFN (goodbye for now) X.”

    (12:00) - Rex Heuermann

In June 2024, alleged Long Island Serial killer, Rex Heuermann, was charged with the murders of Jessica Taylor and Sandra Castilla, bringing the total of his alleged victims to six.

Police announced recently that over 350 devices had been seized from Rex’s home. A document was found on a hard drive and it is believed that is where Rex mapped out plans for his kills. Rex allegedly made notes such as :
    • Remove head and hands
    • Remove marks from tourture
    • Remove ID marks – tattoos
He also wrote down points he wanted to remember for his next kills:
    • Get sleep before hunt, too tired creats problems
    • Use hevey rope for neck- light rope broke under stress of being tightend
    • More sleep and noise control – more play time
(Please note all spelling errors are Rex’s own).

We also discuss the recent "press conference" held by attorney John Ray where he throws around some insane accusations about Rex's daughter Victoria.

    • (7:41) - Small Rex Heuermann update
    • (12:24) - Shanda Sharer
In 1992, 12-year-old Shanda Sharer was finding her way growing up in Indiana. She dealt with bullying at school that would eventually escalate into one the most heinous murders in the state.

In January 1992, four girls between the ages of 15-17 decided "to teach Shanda a lesson." One of the girls, Melinda Loveless, was jealous of Shanda's new relationship.

The girls went to Shanda’s home late at night and convinced her to leave with them. Over the next several hours, they would torture, sexually assault and beat Shanda to the brink of death before setting her on fire with gasoline. They left her to die on the side of a road.

After the murder, the girls went to McDonald's and giggled because their breakfast sausages reminded them of Shanda's burnt body.

In this episode of the True Crime Society Podcast, we discuss the horrific torture and murder of 12 year-old Shanda Sharer.

Great Podcast to add to your favorites!

I have to start my review with — I love their conversations before they dive into the case! I enjoy hearing what they are doing in their lives and how different the weather, activities, personal dynamics are yet they are still interested in the same things!

They do a great job reviewing both new and old cases. Their case conversations are both funny and insightful. They do a great job researching their cases and bringing the victims and their story to life.

My favorite crime podcast

You ladies are lovely. I find your podcast so enjoyable, even if it does murder and crime. Your episodes are well researched and I really like how you both talk about what's happening in your lives. Don't listen to the trolls who complain. Hope you keep the podcast going. It helps me get through my day. Thanks for all the work you put into it 💜
